Join the Wildflower Team

Wildflower Lactation & Postpartum Center is growing! We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our supportive and collaborative team serving families throughout the Portland area.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position beginning with per diem work, with the opportunity to grow into a consistent part-time role of up to 20 hours per week.

Start date: As soon as insurance credentialing is complete.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individualized lactation consultations in our clinic and in clients’ homes

• Assess feeding concerns and develop thoughtful, family-centered care plans

• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation

• Provide evidence-based education and support to families

• Collaborate with Wildflower’s lactation and postpartum care team

• Help families feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their feeding journey

  What We’re Looking For

  Required:

  • Current IBCLC certification

  • Current Oregon state licensure

  • Ability to provide home visits throughout the Portland metro area

  • Reliable transportation

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team

  • A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to supporting families and their individual feeding goals

  Preferred:

  • Currently credentialed/in-network with insurance plans

  • Spanish-speaking or bilingual

  Working With Wildflower

  Wildflower provides the supplies and equipment needed for in-clinic consultations. Independent contractors provide their own supplies and equipment for home visits.
